Love affair and other unfortunate story:

Love affair

Recently I came to know about an interesting story which made me think about an unfortunate incident. Here is the story. There is this friend of mine whose brother has joined an engineering college recently. The guy after few months in college became depressed and flunks in internals. On further inquiry revealed that the cause was love/ infatuation/ puppy love though the guy claims it to be divine. Seems the female was a childhood friend and has joined the same college.

Now the typical life-cycle of puppy love start:

1. Initially they met up and became fast friends in a couple of weeks.

2. At the end of the first two months they became lovers/puppy lovers.

3. For two months they were enjoying themselves by going to movies and doing other mushy mushy stuff.

4. The fifth month the girl refused to see him after some fight over marriage.

5. Like all silly things in the world must end this one too ended and the guy went into a state of deep depression.

When I heard about it I felt like a complete loser in spite of whatever little accomplishments I have made. Here is a guy who went through the cycle of love in six months and a simple calculation reveals that when he completes his degree he will be through it 8 times. And me zilch. I was thinking kids these days! Then I realized I was an equally spoilt kid.

The Unfortunate Story:

I too had a puppy love when I was in sixth grade. There was this girl who had joined my class and very friendly with me during class excursions/picnics (you know I always followed her and her group of friends like a faithful puppy (as you see the term ‘puppy love’ came from this incident)) and I decided that she was the right female for me. I was even planning to ask her parents for her hand. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to meet her parents before I understood about child marriages.

Finally under pressure from my irrelevant friends (Even though I hangout mostly with these fellows I call them like that because they were not responsible for any relevant event in my life, so was I in their life) during my seventh grade I telephoned her for proposing. I stammered and then suddenly blurted “I love you”, for which she asked, “What”. I suddenly became tensed and told her that I had meant “Did you see I love you India movie”. (The exact movie name was ‘I love India’ by Sarathkumar released for the Independence Day.)

She cut the line. I tried calling back second time and her dad took it up. Now I cut the line and after that incident she never spoke to me properly for the rest of my school days. So I was also a spoiled kid.

Er……if you are expecting any other conclusions from these two incidents I am sorry, I don’t have any. It was merely written for fun's sake.
